The MSA 4200 security appliance delivers large-business security, connectivity, and ease-of-use features to small and medium businesses.
The Celestix MSA 4200 is a multi-threat security solution designed for deployments from 250 to 1000 users. It uses an Intel Core 2 Duo processor to provide high performance under demanding conditions. A hardware cryptographic accelerator offloads compute intensive cryptographic operations to support VPN users and public key infrastructure with no degradation in system performance.
The MSA 4200 has a front panel display and jog dial UI that lets administrators configure network parameters and begin securing the network within 15 minutes. The front panel display also provides critical information and allows users to install security updates, or change the configuration of the appliance. The MSA 4200 can be managed locally via a standard web browser or centrally through Microsoft TMG Enterprise Edition.
The MSA 4200 security appliance is based on a robust Celestix 1U rack hardware platform delivering extremely fast and efficient security. The MSA 4200 uses a powerful Intel® Core 2 Duo CPU running in excess of 2.4GHz, 4GB of RAM and a SATA-II 300GB hard drive. The Celestix MSA 4200 has six auto-sensing 100/1000 ethernet ports adding a degree of versatility not commonly found in a security appliance.
TMG security features include:
• Web (URL) filtering blocks users from visiting infected websites and lets administrators control users’ access to enforce corporate Web policies.
• Web anti-virus/anti-malware security functions inspect files, scripts and all other forms of portable code to block sophisticated Web-based attacks
• Advanced application-layer firewall secures your network with layer 1-7 stateful packet inspection
• HTTPS inspection examines encrypted traffic to detect and stop malware tunneling.
• Network Inspection (intrusion detection/prevention) thwarts suspicious activity inside the firewall
• Reverse proxy permits secure application publishing
• Forward proxy permits secure Web browsing
• Caching speeds Web traffic and conserves network bandwidth
• IPSec VPN delivers secure remote user access and site-to-site connectivity
