 Running Microsoft ISA Server 2006, MSA6000 provides superior security, high availability, manageability, GigE port density and performance, giving customers a competitively priced, mid-range appliance with unprecedented performance and port headroom for this class of system. MSA6000 delivers over 2.50Gbps of Ethernet for firewall traffic and a total throughput of 125Mbps encrypted traffic through the included 6-port 1000BaseT Ethernet card (PCI-Express) in a 2RU security platform.
The MSA6000 features a backlit LCD panel (40 x 2 character) with an integrated dial control that allows the administrator to configure network parameters and begin securing the network within 15 minutes. The LCD also provides critical information and allows users to install security updates, or change the configuration of the appliance. The MSA6000 can be managed locally via a standard web browser or centrally through Microsoft ISA Server Enterprise Edition.
MSA6000 comes with redundant and hot swappable components — like drives and power supplies — that gives you protection and availability any time, day or night. MSA6000 is prepared for every contingency. MSA6000 drives feature true hot-swapping capabilities that allow you to remove and replace a failed drive without losing data or interrupting service, thanks to the hardware RAID controller and the Celestix-designed drive carrier. With MSA6000, the system continues to operate while the contents of the failed drive are rebuilt on a replacement drive, using redundant or parity information. In addition, MSA6000 comes with a hot spare hard drive that can replace the failed drive at anytime.
The MSA6000 uses a powerful Intel® Core 2 Duo class CPU running in excess of 2.4GHz, 3GB of RAM, and three 80GB of hard drive and one spare 80GB of hard drive, with RAID 5. Flexible, feature rich and tight design integration with Microsoft Windows® Server, Exchange Server, Outlook® Web Access, Internet Information Services, and SharePoint® Portal Server, MSA6000 is the best choice for securing Windows networks at medium to large enterprise.
