 Running Microsoft ISA Server 2006, MSA5000 provides superior security, manageability, GigE port density and performance, giving customers a competitively priced, mid-range appliance with unprecedented performance and port headroom for this class of system. MSA5000 delivers over 1.84Gbps of Ethernet for firewall traffic and a total throughput of 125Mbps encrypted traffic through the included 6-port 1000BaseT Ethernet card (PCI-Express) in a 1RU security platform.
The MSA5000 features a backlit LCD panel (40 x 2 character) with an integrated dial control that allows the administrator to configure network parameters and begin securing the network within 15 minutes. The LCD also provides critical information and allows users to install security updates, or change the configuration of the appliance. The MSA5000 can be managed locally via a standard web browser or centrally through Microsoft ISA Server Enterprise Edition.
The MSA5000 uses a powerful Intel® Pentium® D Dual-Core class CPU running in excess of 3.2GHz, 3GB of RAM and 80GB of hard drive. Flexible, feature rich and tight design integration with Microsoft Windows® Server, Exchange Server, Outlook® Web Access, Internet Information Services, and SharePoint® Portal Server, MSA5000 is the best choice for securing Windows networks at medium to large enterprise.
