Celestix Networks is a fast growing, privately held enterprise security appliance vendor offering a broad range of ready-to-deploy security appliances and turnkey security solutions. Celestix currently has a great opportunity for a Professional Services Engineer to work in a dynamic and evolving environment. This position will augment the growing services organization with product deployment, integration, customization and training with customers. The qualified candidate will be a highly technical and well rounded professional with strong experience in network security, a varied application/OS background, some Web programming skills, and experience with pre/post sales engineering background to establish and maintain a deployment project from initial assessment to providing insight into best practices. The PSE will have an active role in establishing a positive relationship with the customer. In addition, the qualified candidate will play a mentoring role in developing junior-level Professional Service Engineers. | Responsibilities: |
- Work with customers to assess the requirements and work to be accomplished during their deployment.
- Plan network and security design for deployment strategy.
- Provide configuration and installation support (both internal and for customers).
- Optimize and provide best practices for a deployed solution.
- Provide training on Celestix Networks products when necessary.
- Conduct functional testing of new security/network products.
- Provide customer related feedback and lessons learned.
- Create project summary documentation for white papers and tech briefs.
- Assist sales and marketing with deployment strategies (POCs and technical assistance).
- Provide feedback from the field to Celestix development for product improvement and support.

| Requirements and Qualifications: |
- 5-7 years of experience in installation, configuration and support roles with expertise in security features, content delivery, firewalls, switching and routing (architecture and implementation, from both the LAN and WAN aspects).
- Thorough understanding of networking and security technologies, and various authentication schemes (Active Directory, RADIUS, RSA Tokens, NTLM, etc…)
- Practical and demonstrable knowledge of proxy deployments (reverse, specifically with Microsoft ISA)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, cookies, authentication, web filtering, various load balancers sorts, virus scanning, web servers, SSL/encryption and reporting packages.
- Understand transparent deployments using redirection devices.
- Must have some exposure and experience with web development technologies (ASP, VBscript, JavaScript, and JAVA), as this will be used quite often.
- Ability to understand traffic flow at packet level traces. (TCPDUMP, Wildfire Packet Analyzer, ISA monitoring logs, etc.)
- Must be highly organized and possess excellent verbal/written communication, time management and presentation skills.
- Must have strong customer facing skills and the ability to quickly adapt to the needs of the client.
- Ability to learn and think creatively to incorporate new integration solutions.
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative when potential new services opportunities arise.
- Ability to travel for onsite customer engagements both domestic and international.
- At least a BA/BS in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Actual work experience will weigh more than a degree

| Job Requirements |
- Up to 80% travel may be required.
- Off hours work (nights) is required to coordinate with international offices.
- Must be fluent in English.
