Goran Malm, Chairman of the Board |
Mr. Malm is the Chairman of Celestix Networks. Mr. Malm brings nearly 30 years experience in executive and management positions to the Celestix Board. He is presently Chairman and CEO of Icon Medialab Asia and a member of the Samsung Board of Directors. Prior to this he held a number of senior management positions in the Asia/Pacific regions including President at Dell Computer Asia Pacific and Senior Vice President at Dell Computer, Senior vice president, General Electric Co., and president of GE Asia-Pacific, based in Hong Kong responsible for GE's Asia-Pacific region encompassing 11 businesses with sales approaching $10 billion, and President and CEO of GE Medical Systems Asia based in Tokyo. Prior to joining GE, Mr. Malm was deputy group managing director of SKF, a Swedish multinational company and a world leader in automotive and industrial bearings.

Dr. Ravi Lingarkar, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member |
Dr. Lingarkar is the Chief Executive Officer of Celestix Networks and focuses on the coordination and performance of the company’s worldwide business operations as well as setting the strategic product direction of the company. He has been working in the computer and networking industry for 15 plus years. Prior to Celestix Networks, he was the founder and CEO of ActiveLane Inc. Before ActiveLane Inc., he held the title of VP of Engineering and Director of Engineering at network security giants McAfee and Network Associates. He has also held senior engineering positions at Nortel and several successful venture capital backed computer networking startups. He has published several papers in reference books, research journals, and conference proceedings and holds several key Internet patents. Mr. Lingarkar holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from McMaster University in Canada.

Yong Thye Lin, President and Board Member |
Yong-Thye Lin is an entrepreneur with 16 years experience in the computer industry and has spent 10 years in California. In 2000, he founded Celestix Networks, Inc. in Silicon Valley. Mr. Lin was responsible for all finance and administration, business development and field marketing in the region. In addition, he was responsible for corporate communications and product marketing.
Mr. Lin returned to Singapore in July 2004 to expand Celestix operations in Europe and Asia Pacific. Mr. Lin co-founded AIMS Lab Pte Ltd in 1992, a Singapore-based developer of digital video products where he served as VP of Sales and Marketing. He moved to California in 1994 to establish AIMS Lab, Inc. where he successfully introduced AIMS Lab’s products into major national retail accounts including Fry’s Electronics, CompUSA, Micro Center, Radio Shack, OfficeMax, Best Buy and many others. Mr. Lin holds a BSc in Finance and Decision Science from the University of Oregon.

Kok-Hua Chia , Board Member

Mr. Chia is a co-founder and former CEO of Celestix Networks. He also co-founded Sooner Technology Pte Ltd (founded in 1994), a leading distributor of PC-related components and peripherals. The company was acquired by listed Flextech Group in 1999. Before Sooner Technologies, Mr. Chia founded inSTEP MicroSolutions Pte Ltd (founded in 1994), a boutique technology distribution company specializing in multimedia-related semiconductors and software. The company was acquired by the Flextech Group in 1999. He also founded Panatec Industries Pte Ltd (founded in 1995), a memory module specialist with factories in Singapore and India. Kok-Hua served as Director of Technology. Mr. Chia holds a Diploma in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Singapore Polytechnic.

Cüneyt Özveren, Technical Advisory Board Member |
Dr. Özveren is a serial entrepreneur who is currently the founder, CEO and chairman of Yoriwa Inc. Before Yoriwa, Dr. Özveren was the founder and CEO of Atoga Systems, a venture backed startup that developed DWDM (Dense Wave Division Multiplexing) equipment. Atoga Systems was acquired by Arris International in 2003. Dr. Özveren also co-founded Berkeley Networks, which was later acquired by Fore Systems for $250M. Dr. Özveren did his undergraduate and graduate studies at MIT and holds five degrees from there, including a doctorate in electrical engineering and computer science, and an MBA. He is also the author of numerous published papers and holds nine patents. Dr. Özveren is a frequent choice for speaking engagements at financial and telecom industry events. |
