Reducing the high cost of security deployment

|
Computer security product sales are currently booming. In 2002, the industry had $19.01B in total sales and in 2007 total sales are projected to hit $45.5B. Appliance sales are heavy contributors to these growth rates. IDC projects that by 2007, 80% of all security products will be purchased on appliances with 40% growth for appliances in SMB by 2005 (Gartner). Simply put, appliances are the new vehicle for delivering enterprise security solutions.
IT managers have expressed a desire to rid their department of the burden of software installation and upkeep. IT departments can instead purchase a plug-and-play appliance and avoid continuous patch updates, complex configurations, and interoperability challenges. These burdens now rest with the appliance seller, and the IT manager can reduce his TCO and operating costs.
Currently, Celestix offers plug-and-play solutions for key security infrastructure requirements to address firewall, branch office connectivity, cache/proxy, wireless policies/authentication, remote access (SSL and traditional VPN), two-factor authentication, and anti-spam/anti-virus gateway deployments. |
